An Update

Published by Meagan under Georgia Tech

Concerning the yellow fever vaccination and the visa, I was able to find a clinic last week that sympathized with my troubles. I am now the proud recipient of a yellow fever vaccine, and by Friday I should have a Thai visa. It’s probably already ready; it’s just a matter of me getting to Atlanta to pick it up.

Concerning PURA, it’s almost finished. It’d be nice if I had a few more days to finish it in, but it looks like I have tomorrow and part of Friday.

On the subject of leaving in 4 days, it’s getting a little panicky and crazy. I’m incredibly excited, but I’m getting sad too. Prayers, please. I’m still nervous about flying.

I can’t believe Jill is in Italy with no computer! Jill, you have to stay in touch! I miss you!

The CDC and the Thai Embassy, Fast Cars, and Jesus/Google

Visa update, because you may or may not have heard, and I need prayers:

It’s very stupid, really. How did I, Meagan from Hiawassee, get stuck between the Thai Embassy and the CDC? It’s quite simple and quite absurd, really. There is a rule that if you are going from a country with yellow fever to Thailand (or anywhere else, really) that you must have the yellow fever vaccine. I went to Peru a year ago, and there’s yellow fever in their jungles. I went to the desert though, which is why I don’t have the shot. I’m not going from Peru though, I’m going from America, so according to the CDC (the freaking epicenter of the world’s medicine), I’m fine and healthy. Continue Reading »

Crazy Animals!

Published by Meagan under Georgia Tech

My cat, Pepper (called kitty or kitten), has lost her poor mind. I love her to death, but sometimes when I come home she gets so excited to see me that she turns into some psycho kitten. She just started running around the house meowing at the top of her lungs and attacking things.

That’s her at the top of the stairs in between ferocious meows. Watch out for that evil death stare.

Yes, she’s seriously attacking the flash from my camera. The picture looks kinda strange because the wall is white so it’s just fading into the background.

She’s about to pounce. How can you not love this cute kitty?
